About Me

Thank you for looking at my practice website. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in individual and couples therapy, and I maintain a private practice in Wheaton, IL.

I have over sixteen years experience as a therapist. Much of my clinical experience has been in hospital settings on In-Patient units, Partial Hospitalization Programs and as a counselor for a major EAP firm. I am a graduate of DePaul University with a BA in Psychology (1991) and an MSW from the University of  Illinois/Chicago (1995) specializing in Mental Health.

I am currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients.  The majority of my clients are dealing with issues where they feel they have reached a road block and would like to utilize an objective source to process their presenting struggle. I see adults and couples with depression, anxiety, around loss and grief issues, relationship strain, post divorce and career issues. I have a clinical specialty working with women who are mothers and are at times feeling overwhelmed by this important and under appreciated role. Some of my clients are struggling with Postpartum Depression and benefit from the support of a counselor as they manage the very treatable but debiliating symptoms of a Postpartum Mood Disorder. Each person is unique and I keep that in mind when developing with my client a treatment plan.

I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help my clients effectively address personal life challenges. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
